External mechanical damage is one of the most important causes of pipeline failures. GPS provides services for detection, localization and evaluation of the size of dents, ovality, buckles and reductions resulting from external mechanical damage as well as those caused by soil movement in the location of the inspected object.
Multi-channel caliper tools of GPS also detect and register the location of structural elements (pipe fittings, tees, gate valves, taps, bends, circumferential seams), changes of wall thickness and can be used both at the stage of commissioning works and in the process of regular operation of pipelines.
