This is typical for extensive areas of uniform corrosion, erosion wear and longitudinal defects. The method makes it possible to detect internal wall defects, such as laminations of different shapes (planar laminations, surface-breaking laminations, hydrogen sulfide cracking, non-metallic inclusions).
